Nebraska Volleyball Kicks Off 2025 Season
Husker volleyball fans, mark your calendars—the 2025 season is here! After years of dominating the court, the Nebraska Cornhuskers aim to reclaim the national championship title they last won in 2017. Despite falling to the eventual champions, Penn State, in the Final Four last season, Nebraska remains a powerhouse, led by standout athletes Harper Murray, Lexi Rodriguez, and Merritt Beason.
A new chapter begins with head coach Dani Busboom-Kelly, a Husker alum who previously guided the University of Louisville to the title game. Busboom-Kelly’s appointment follows John Cook’s retirement, promising a fresh era for the program. The roster retains a formidable core, with Murray entering her junior year alongside setter Bergen Reilly and middle blocker Andi Jackson.
Fans can eagerly anticipate the regular season schedule, packed with exciting matchups. The Huskers kick off their season on August 22 against Pitt, with notable games against Stanford, Kentucky, and Michigan. The coaching staff encourages fans to tune in, whether in person or via national broadcasts on networks like ABC, ESPN, BTN, and FS1. Most games will also be available for streaming on platforms such as Fubo and ESPN+.
