Border Brewery & Barbecue Launches Wood-Fired Pizza Menu
Salem, NH – February 2024 – Border Brewery & Barbecue, a beloved Salem establishment renowned for its barbecue and house-brewed beers, has expanded its offerings with the introduction of Border BBQ Pizzas. This new addition features eight unique wood-fired pizzas, three classic favorites, and five inspired by existing menu items.
Owner Joe Ruotolo, who purchased a wood-fired pizza oven in late 2023, dedicated weeks to perfecting his recipes. Emphasizing the importance of not rushing the process, Ruotolo remarked, “You cannot rush barbecue, you cannot rush beer, you cannot rush dough.” The result is an immediate hit among both locals and visitors who are raving about the “delicious,” “excellent,” and “best pepperoni pizza ever” experiences.
The wood-fired oven operates at 700-800ºF, producing pizzas with perfectly melted cheese and a crispy crust. Notable selections include brisket and pulled pork pizzas, which beautifully blend the restaurant’s barbecue essence with the new pizza concept. Alongside this exciting menu expansion, Border Brewery continues to serve its popular house-brewed beers, including the much-loved Peanut Butter Stout.
