Gophers Set for Big Ten Showdown Against Nebraska
MINNEAPOLIS – The Minnesota Golden Gophers baseball team is set to face off against the Nebraska Cornhuskers from May 2-4 in a critical Big Ten matchup at Haymarket Park. The series kicks off on Friday at 6 p.m. CT, with Gopher starter Joe Sperry (4-1) taking the mound against Cornhusker Will Walsh (4-6). Saturday’s game starts at 2 p.m. CT, featuring Kyle Remington (1-6) for Minnesota and Ty Horn (2-4) for Nebraska. The series concludes on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
Minnesota enters the series fresh off an emphatic 11-0 shutout victory against St. Thomas. The Gophers currently stand poised for a strong showing against Nebraska, which has a record of 22-23 overall and 9-12 in Big Ten play.
