NU Notes: Huskers dominate doubleheader, secure series win against Northwestern


The No. 4 Nebraska men’s gymnastics team performed exceptionally well at the NCAA National Championships, taking fourth place overall with a total score of 326.222. Head coach Chuck Chmelka has now achieved his 10th consecutive top-10 finish at the Championships. Chase Mondi stood out by winning a silver medal on the floor with a score of 14.566, while Chris Hiser finished in fourth place on rings with a score of 14.133 in his final competition as a Husker. Several team members, including Taylor Christopulos, Asher Cohen, Chase Mondi, and Max Odden, received All-America honors for their performances in individual events. Christopulos excelled on the pommel horse and all-around, Cohen impressed on rings, Mondi stood out on the floor, and Odden excelled on the high bar. Overall, it was a successful competition for the Nebraska men’s gymnastics team, showcasing their talent and dedication to the sport.
