Michael Bennett, a director at Booz Allen Hamilton, has been honored with the 2025 College of Engineering and Computer Science Outstanding Alumnus Award from Wright State University. Bennett’s fascination with computers from a young age led him to pursue a degree in computer science at Wright State, where he quickly landed a job in his field and eventually progressed to his current role at Booz Allen Hamilton.
In his current position, Bennett leads a team of engineers specializing in physics-based modeling and analysis for the U.S. Department of Defense. He collaborates with various Air Force and intelligence centers to provide critical engineering services to protect national assets against foreign threats.
Despite his busy career, Bennett remains strongly connected to Wright State, supporting the College of Engineering and Computer Science through corporate sponsorship, industry advisory board participation, and student scholarship programs. He credits Wright State for helping him achieve a career he loves and finds supporting the university to be rewarding.
In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bennett is a proud family man, an active member of his church’s finance committee and leadership team, and provides technology support for various systems and equipment. He enjoys running, hiking with his wife – also a Wright State alum, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Receiving the Outstanding Alumnus Award is a testament to Bennett’s dedication to his field, his commitment to giving back to his alma mater, and his ongoing accomplishments in engineering and national security.
