A second Husker basketball player, freshman guard Nick Janowski, has entered the transfer portal, as reported by multiple sources. Despite being a four-star recruit out of Pewaukee, Wisconsin, Janowski utilized a redshirt and did not see any game action this season. He was ranked among the top 25 shooting guards in his class and had an impressive high school career, leading his team to three state titles and setting numerous records.
Janowski’s decision to transfer comes as Fred Hoiberg, the head coach of the Nebraska men’s basketball team, works to revamp the roster for next season. Janowski joins teammate Gavin Griffiths in the transfer portal, while Hoiberg has already added three transfers to the team – Pryce Sandfort, Ugnius Jarusevicius, and Jamarcus Lawrence.
With multiple players either finishing their careers or seeking opportunities elsewhere, Hoiberg is looking to bring in new talent to strengthen the Huskers for the upcoming season.
