Nebraska Takes Home $300,000 Prize in College Basketball Royal Match

The Nebraska Cornhuskers are celebrating their victory in the College Basketball Crown tournament in Las Vegas. Despite not making the NCAA tournament, the team stayed in southern Nevada for three weeks and it paid off with a championship win against the UCF Knights. The Cornhuskers took home the $300,000 prize after defeating UCF 77-66 in a thrilling final.

The game was tied at halftime, but UCF started strong in the second half with a 14-0 run. However, Nebraska made a comeback, going on a 24-3 run to take the lead and ultimately secure the win. Tournament MVP Juwan Gary led the team with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Brice Williams and Connor Essegian also made significant contributions with 21 points each.

UCF’s Jordan Ivy-Curry scored 29 points in a losing effort as the Knights fell short in their comeback attempt. Nebraska’s deep shooting game was strong, with a 42.9% success rate from three-point range compared to UCF’s 24.1%.

Overall, the Cornhuskers’ trip to Las Vegas was certainly worthwhile, as they not only enjoyed their time in the city but also came away with a historic victory in the College Basketball Crown tournament.
