Senior Addie Diers, another wrestler from Chadron High School, has seen significant changes in her six years of wrestling, including having to compete against boys. Despite the challenges, Diers enjoys the sense of community in girls wrestling and recently achieved her 100th career win.
Both Prado and Diers have traveled long distances for tournaments, paving the way for other western Nebraska teams to compete at the state level. With the growth and success of girls wrestling in Nebraska, it is clear that the sport is making a positive impact and breaking down barriers for female athletes.
