In a tough doubleheader, the New Mexico State University (NMSU) softball team fell to No. 17 Nebraska and Colorado State. The games took place on Saturday and Sunday, with the Aggies unable to overcome their strong opponents.
In the first game against Nebraska, NMSU’s offense struggled to get going, scoring only two runs in a 6-2 loss. Despite a valiant effort, the Aggies were unable to mount a comeback against the highly-ranked Cornhuskers.
The second game against Colorado State was also a challenge for NMSU, with the Rams coming out on top with a 4-1 victory. The Aggies fought hard, but were ultimately unable to secure the win.
Despite the losses, NMSU showed resilience and determination throughout both games. Head coach Kathy Rodolph praised her team for their efforts and is optimistic about their potential for the rest of the season.
The NMSU softball team will look to bounce back in their upcoming games and continue to improve as they aim for success in the remainder of the season.
