Greg Sharpe, the beloved voice of Husker Radio, passed away at the age of 61 after a battle with pancreatic cancer. Sharpe, who had been with Nebraska Athletics since 2008, was recently honored as the Nebraska Sportscaster of the Year in 2024. Known for his infectious personality and dedication to the teams, Sharpe was remembered as a wonderful husband, father, and broadcaster by his family. Despite his public battle with cancer, Sharpe chose to live fearlessly and leaned on his faith and Nebraska community for support. Nebraska Athletic Director Troy Dannen paid tribute to Sharpe, describing him as a friend to everyone and a true representation of what it means to be a Husker. Sharpe leaves behind his wife, Amy, and three daughters, Emily, Campbell, and Taylor.
