Niedan-Streeks and Gravel Nationals Recognized by Nebraska Tourism


The Nebraska tourism industry recently celebrated its annual awards ceremony to recognize outstanding contributions to the state’s tourism sector. Karla Niedan-Streeks received the Henry Fonda Award for her lifetime of service to Nebraska’s tourism industry. Vic Gutman received the Visionary Award for his work in shaping Omaha’s cultural landscape, while the Lincoln Children’s Zoo and the Gravel National Championship LOC were awarded for outstanding events. Visit Omaha’s influencer campaign won the Outstanding Marketing Campaign Award, and the Norfolk Riverfront was named the winner of the Outstanding Tourism Attraction Award. Prairie Wind Birding Tours received the Outstanding Agritourism or Ecotourism Entity Award, and Alan Bartels received the Friend of Tourism Award for his advocacy for Nebraska’s culture and natural wonders. Adeline’s Bakery in Burr was voted as the Nebraska Passport Champions Choice Award winner. The Nebraska Tourism Conference will return in 2026.
