Lovely Valentine’s Day precedes cold wave across Greater Nebraska


North Platte, Nebraska experienced a slight warmup to finish the workweek in time for Valentine’s Day. The area was under a Cold Weather Advisory until Thursday morning, but saw sunny skies with temperatures in the mid-20s. Friday is expected to bring cloudy skies with highs near 42 and a chance of rain and snow in the evening. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a 30% chance of snow in the morning.

Sunday will have partly cloudy skies with highs near 23 and a chance of snow at night. President’s Day on Monday will see partly cloudy skies with highs near 15 and a chance of morning snow. The rest of the week will continue to be cold, with temperatures in the single digits and chances of snow. The forecast for next Thursday is mostly sunny with highs near 21.
