Several schools in Beatrice, Nebraska, closed due to a winter storm warning issued by the National Weather Service. The storm was expected to bring five to seven inches of snow to the southeast corner of Nebraska. Other areas, such as northeast Kansas, were also expecting similar snowfall amounts. Beatrice specifically had received three inches of snow by 6:30 a.m. The snow totals were expected to range from four to seven inches in the region.
