Chief medical officer Valerie Allusson believes that AI is transforming health care, especially in coronary artery disease.
The HeartFlow FFRCT Analysis utilizes advanced AI to convert data from a standard coronary CTA into a 3D model of a patient’s coronary arteries, calculating FFRCT values to visualize arterial blockages and their impact on blood flow. Additionally, the CathWorks FFRangio System assesses coronary physiology during catheterization using AI-driven analysis of routine angiograms, eliminating the need for invasive tools or medication.
Ankitkumar Patel, medical director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory, sees the adoption of these AI-powered tools as a significant milestone in the hospital’s pursuit of excellence in cardiac care. These technologies enable faster, more precise decisions tailored to each patient, providing a new level of precision and innovation for the community.
