Glow Big Red Raises Awareness and Funds for Important Causes at the University of Nebraska

The University of Nebraska–Lincoln is gearing up for its seventh annual day of giving, Glow Big Red — 24 Hours of Husker Giving, on February 12. Various landmarks around the university will be lit up in red to celebrate the event. The goal this year is to receive 5,500 gifts to support over 400 areas across the university, including student scholarships, colleges, programs, and student organizations.

Donors can maximize their gifts through challenges and matching gift opportunities. One of the areas donors can support is the Student Hardship Fund, which helps students facing unexpected financial crises. Engineers Without Borders, a student organization, is participating in Glow Big Red by empowering communities around the world through engineering projects.

Alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the Husker community are encouraged to participate in the day of giving and spread the word on social media using #GlowBigRed. Every donor who gives $75 or more will receive a pair of Husker fleece mittens as a thank-you gift for their support. Glow Big Red aims to raise funds for critical needs across the university and provide opportunities for students to succeed.
