Nebraska volleyball fans have the opportunity to welcome new head coach Dani Busboom Kelly at a celebration on February 6 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center in Lincoln. The event is free and open to the public, with doors opening at 1 p.m. and the program beginning at 2 p.m. Parking will be available in lots 56, 58, and 60. Busboom Kelly, a former Husker player and assistant coach, comes to Nebraska after a successful tenure at Louisville, where she led the Cardinals to multiple NCAA Championship matches and conference titles. Known for her coaching accolades, she was named the AVCA National Coach of the Year in 2021. Busboom Kelly’s husband, Lane Kelly, is a former Nebraska football player, and the couple has a son named Boone. Fans can watch the celebration and press conference live on 10/11 NOW’s website or app. The event marks an exciting new chapter for the Nebraska volleyball program, following the retirement of longtime head coach John Cook.
