Baker Hughes has recently been awarded an order to provide gas compression trains and propane compressors for the third expansion phase of Aramco’s Jafurah gas field in Saudi Arabia. The order, secured in the fourth quarter of 2024 from Tecnicas Reunidas, will involve supplying state-of-the-art electric motor driven compression solutions. This will be done by leveraging Baker Hughes’ recently expanded Damman Center in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. Executive Vice President Ganesh Ramaswamy stated that gas remains a vital source of reliable and low-carbon energy, and their advanced technology will contribute to efficient and reliable production at the Jafurah field.
This order further solidifies Baker Hughes’ partnership with Aramco, which includes previous collaborations on compression solutions for various gas plants in Saudi Arabia.
