Lindenwood’s Attempt at Upset Against #25 Nebraska Comes Up Short

Lindenwood women’s basketball team suffered a 69-48 loss against #25 Nebraska in a hard-fought battle on Tuesday. Despite leading by nine points at one point in the game, the Lions couldn’t hold off the Huskers in the second half. Head coach Amy Eagan commended her team’s effort but emphasized the need for improvement. Ellie Brueggemann led the Lions with nine points, all from three-pointers. Mya Skoff and Gracie Kelsey also contributed seven points each off the bench. Despite forcing Nebraska into turnovers, Lindenwood struggled with offensive rebounds and finishing plays. The Lions will look to bounce back as they start a four-game homestand, beginning with a matchup against Alabama A&M on December 7th at 1:00 p.m. CT. Fans can catch all the action at Hyland Arena.
