Hannah Kobayashi, a 30-year-old woman, went missing after landing at Los Angeles International Airport from Honolulu on November 8. The police concluded that she is a voluntary missing person based on surveillance footage showing her crossing into Mexico alone on November 12. However, her family finds this conclusion unsatisfactory and believes they should have been shown the video before reaching a decision.
Her sister, Sydni, fears that she may be a victim of human trafficking, while the police do not suspect foul play. The family plans to deploy supporters to Mexico to search for Hannah and urges her to reach out and come home.
Hannah’s last message to her family was alarming, expressing fear and concerns about someone trying to steal her money and identity. Her father passed away by suicide near Los Angeles International Airport on November 24. Family and supporters continue to search for her, despite the police’s conclusion that she is voluntarily disconnected from her daily life. The family emphasized the need to find answers and ensure Hannah’s safety. If in crisis, individuals can call 988 or the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline for help.
