Get the latest updates on Nebraska football’s 2025 recruiting class on signing day | Sports

Nebraska is gearing up for National Signing Day on Dec. 4, when they will sign a majority of their 2025 recruiting class during the three-day Early Signing Period. The Huskers have already secured commitments from a number of talented players, including 4-star edge rusher Dawson Merritt, linebacker Christian Jones, defensive lineman Kade Pietrzak, offensive lineman Juju Marks, offensive lineman Shawn Hammerbeck, running back Conor Booth, and safety Caden VerMaas. These recruits come from states like Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and even as close as Omaha.

Merritt, who chose Nebraska over top programs like Alabama and Oklahoma, is ranked No. 118 nationally and No. 15 among edge rushers. Jones, Nebraska’s top-ranked linebacker recruit, turned down offers from Oklahoma and Auburn to stay close to home. Pietrzak, Marks, Hammerbeck, Booth, and VerMaas all bring their own unique talents to the Huskers’ roster and are expected to make an impact on the team in the coming years.

The Huskers’ recruiting class is shaping up nicely, with a good mix of local talent and players from neighboring states. Fans can stay updated on any additional signings on National Signing Day by following The Daily Nebraskan’s Senior Sports Editor Joseph Maier on social media. The future looks bright for Nebraska football as they continue to add talented players to their roster.
