In a series of exciting high school football matchups, Norfolk Catholic emerged victorious as they faced off against a number of tough opponents leading up to their championship game against Bishop Neumann.
On November 1st, Norfolk Catholic defeated Ord with a score of 33-8, while Raymond Central narrowly beat Boone Central 21-19. Wood River also secured a win against Doniphan-Trumbull with a score of 41-30. Kearney Catholic shut out Valentine with a final score of 24-0, and Battle Creek triumphed over Aquinas Catholic 31-13. Malcolm dominated Mitchell with a score of 42-12, and Cedar Catholic came out on top against Oakland-Craig with a score of 22-16. Bishop Neumann displayed their dominance with a decisive win over Lincoln Lutheran, final score 49-7.
Moving on to the next round on November 8th, Norfolk Catholic continued their winning streak with a victory over Raymond Central, final score 41-14. Kearney Catholic defeated Wood River with a score of 30-8, Battle Creek secured a win against Malcolm with a score of 30-7, and Bishop Neumann narrowly beat Cedar Catholic 24-21.
In the championship game on November 15th, Norfolk Catholic faced off against Kearney Catholic and emerged triumphant with a final score of 35-13. Bishop Neumann also claimed victory against Battle Creek with a close score of 6-0. Finally, in a highly anticipated matchup on November 26th at UNL Memorial Stadium, Norfolk Catholic once again emerged victorious with a final score of 27-13.
