Capstone Art Shows Commence on December 2nd

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s School of Art, Art History and Design is currently showcasing the work of graduating undergraduate students in the Capstone Exhibitions at the Eisentrager-Howard Gallery in Richards Hall. The Graphic Design Capstone Exhibition will be on display from Dec. 2-6, with a closing reception on Dec. 6, while the Studio Art Capstone Exhibition will be shown from Dec. 16-20, with a closing reception on Dec. 20.

The biannual event presents the work of Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Fine Arts seniors in studio art and graphic design, allowing them to showcase their coursework and exploration. Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from noon to 5 p.m., with free admission to the public. A digital presentation of the capstone projects will also be available online.

Participating students express gratitude for the opportunity to display their work, with one student mentioning how the experience has helped challenge their view of artmaking and taught them the skills needed to navigate the art industry professionally. The exhibition provides a platform for students like Megan Coffman, a studio art senior, to share their pieces with the public. Follow the gallery on Instagram @eisentragerhoward for updates on the exhibition.
