Pamela Helem, a mental health therapist in Papillion, has been sentenced for Medicaid fraud following an investigation by the Nebraska Attorney General’s Office. It was discovered that Helem had billed Nebraska Medicaid for mental health services while she was actually at a Council Bluffs casino. As a result, she will have to pay 60-thousand dollars in restitution and serve five years of probation. Additionally, Helem has a civil lawsuit pending in Lancaster County.
