Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa left Thursday’s game against the Buffalo Bills with a concussion after colliding head-first with a Bills safety. This is not the first time Tagovailoa has suffered a concussion, as he had two last season. The first occurred in a game against the Cincinnati Bengals, which led to controversy over how his head injury was handled. This controversy resulted in a new concussion protocol for NFL players. Tagovailoa was concussed again later in the year in a game against the Green Bay Packers. Despite his injuries, Tagovailoa has had success in his career, leading the NFL in passing yards last season. He has a record of 33-19 with 82 touchdowns and 37 interceptions. In July, the Dolphins signed Tagovailoa to a lucrative four-year contract. Tagovailoa is in his fifth season with the Dolphins, who selected him with the fifth pick in the 2020 NFL draft. His teammates and fans will be eagerly awaiting his return to the field after recovering from his latest concussion.
