Who else is running for president on the Nebraska ballot, excluding Trump and Harris? – Omaha World-Herald

The upcoming presidential election in Nebraska will feature not only incumbent President Donald Trump and Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, but also several other candidates on the ballot. According to an article in the Omaha World-Herald, voters will see the names of Jo Jorgensen of the Libertarian Party, Howie Hawkins of the Green Party, and Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente of the Alliance and Reform parties.

Jo Jorgensen, a psychology lecturer, is representing the Libertarian Party and advocating for reducing government involvement in individuals’ lives and promoting personal and economic freedom. Howie Hawkins, a longtime activist and co-founder of the Green Party, is running on a platform focused on addressing climate change and implementing progressive policies. Roque “Rocky” De La Fuente, a businessman and political perennial, is running as an independent and has also appeared on past ballots in various states as a candidate for both major and third parties.

While Trump and Harris are seen as the main contenders in the race, these other candidates offer voters additional options and viewpoints to consider as they head to the polls. Nebraska uses a winner-take-all system for electoral votes, meaning that the candidate who receives the most votes in the state will secure all of its electoral votes. This makes it important for voters to be aware of all the candidates on the ballot and their platforms in order to make an informed decision on Election Day.

As November draws closer, the spotlight will likely continue to shine on Trump and Harris, but these other candidates provide alternative choices for voters who may be seeking different perspectives and solutions to the country’s challenges.
