Nebraska Today: Campus Community Invited to CARE Tailgate Event

The University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s Center for Advocacy, Response, and Education (CARE) is inviting the campus community to join them for a tailgate event to raise awareness about their services. The tailgate will take place on Friday, September 17th from 4-6 PM outside the Campus Rec Center. Attendees can look forward to free food, giveaways, and information about CARE’s resources for survivors of sexual assault, dating violence, and stalking.

CARE aims to provide support and advocacy for individuals who have experienced any form of interpersonal violence. The organization is dedicated to creating a safe and inclusive environment on campus by offering confidential support services, educational programs, and prevention efforts. By hosting this tailgate, they hope to engage with the campus community and spread awareness about the important work they do.

As the issue of sexual assault continues to be a prominent concern on college campuses nationwide, events like this tailgate provide an opportunity for students, faculty, and staff to come together and learn how they can support survivors and prevent future incidents. By promoting a culture of respect and consent, CARE hopes to empower individuals to speak out against violence and create a more supportive campus community.

The tailgate event is just one of the many initiatives that CARE has planned for the upcoming academic year. By engaging with the campus community in a fun and interactive way, they hope to reach a wider audience and encourage more people to utilize their services. Anyone interested in learning more about CARE or getting involved in their efforts is encouraged to attend the tailgate and connect with their team.
