The Harris campaign has condemned the recent interview between Donald Trump and Elon Musk, calling it an example of Trump’s “extremism and dangerous agenda”. During the interview, Trump made derogatory comments about immigrants and attempted to label Kamala Harris as a “radical” leftist, mispronouncing her name multiple times. The conversation ended with mutual admiration between the two men.
Following the interview, Elon Musk claimed that it generated 1 billion views and discussions, although this number could not be verified. Musk also expressed a willingness to host a similar interview with Harris using X’s Spaces feature.
The Harris campaign’s condemnation comes as Harris has pulled ahead in polls, leading Trump by 0.3% nationally and by four points in key battleground states. Harris’s strong position in states like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin could play a crucial role in the November election.
In addition to the Musk-Trump interview, other key events in US politics include Representative Ilhan Omar defending her seat in the Minnesota Democratic primary and Minnesota governor Tim Walz making campaign stops in Los Angeles. Despite the heated political climate, the focus remains on the upcoming election and the direction of the country.
