EA Sports College Football ‘25 was released this week after an 11-year hiatus, marking the return of college football video games from EA Sports. The game features active players on team rosters, with over 11,000 football players opting in through name, image, and likeness agreements. Each player who opted in received $600 and a copy of the game. This edition of the game includes current Nebraska Cornhuskers players, with the Top 20 player ratings recently revealed. Some notable players from the Cornhuskers roster include Tommi Hill with an overall rating of 89, Isaac Gifford and Nash Hutmacher both with an overall rating of 85, and Bryce Benhart with an overall rating of 85 as well. Other players such as Jahmal Banks, Thomas Fidone, and Isaiah Neyor have overall ratings ranging from 82 to 83. The release of the game comes after legal issues related to the use of former college athletes’ likenesses in previous versions. A class action lawsuit led to a $60 million settlement in 2016, paving the way for the game’s return with active player rosters. Nebraska fans and gamers alike can now experience playing as their favorite college football players in the latest edition of EA Sports College Football.
