Nebraska Attorney General Mike Hilgers has recently announced the settlement of four new cases in his Delta 8 litigation campaign. The settlements were reached with Greenhouse Grandma in Chadron, A Botanical Dream in North Platte, First Stop Vape Shop in Ogallala, and Zy Glam in Scottsbluff. These stores were found to be selling mislabeled and harmful synthetic THC products, particularly dangerous to Nebraskans, including children.
With these latest settlements, a total of six retailers have now settled with the AG’s Office. Hilgers commended the stores for taking these dangerous products off their shelves and stated that the fight against retailers selling such unlawful products will continue. The AG’s Office clarified that the store owners have agreed to stop selling prohibited hemp products, which include synthetic THC or products modified with synthetic THC.
The four stores involved have also agreed to hand over any remaining prohibited hemp products containing synthetic THC to the State of Nebraska for immediate destruction within 14 days. They will face significant financial penalties if they fail to comply with the terms of the settlement agreement. The AG’s Office indicated that more lawsuits will be filed as they expand their campaign against retailers endangering Nebraskans with these harmful products.
