The highly anticipated EA Sports College Football video game is making a comeback on July 19, and this week has been dubbed ‘Rankings Week.’ The first ranking released was the ‘Toughest Places to Play’ Top 25, featuring notable college football stadiums. Surprisingly, Nebraska’s Memorial Stadium was not listed, despite its reputation as a formidable environment for opposing teams. Other schools included in the list were Texas A&M’s Kyle Field, Penn State’s Beaver Stadium, and Michigan’s Michigan Stadium. In the last edition of the game, Nebraska was ranked No. 13 in the ‘Toughest Places to Play.’
Despite the absence from the list, Memorial Stadium has been a hot topic due to discussions about renovation, reconstruction, and advertising campaigns. The Huskers will have a challenging schedule this season with road games against Purdue, Indiana, Ohio State, USC, and Iowa, as well as home games against UTEP, Colorado, and Wisconsin. The Colorado and Illinois matchups have been designated as night games, with the Illinois game scheduled for a Friday night kickoff.
The next list to be released by EA Sports will feature a sights and sounds deep dive into each stadium experience for participating teams. Fans can stay updated on all things Huskers by following HuskerMax and visiting HuskerMax.com regularly.
