Results of the 2024 Nebraska Primary Election

The recent independent elections saw a mix of contested and uncontested races, with some incumbents maintaining their positions, while others faced strong challenges. In one of the more closely contested races, Dennis Schaardt secured victory with 45% of the vote, narrowly beating out his opponent Robert Hallstrom who secured 34%. Meanwhile, Terrell McKinney and Ernie Chambers both maintained their seats as incumbents in fiercely competitive races.

Other notable results include Beau Ballard securing 54% of the vote to retain his position, and Carolyn Bosn winning with 55% of the vote. In uncontested races, several incumbents were able to keep their seats without facing a challenger. These include Julia Palzer, John Cavanaugh, Eliot Bostar, and Kathleen Kauth among others.

Overall, the independent elections showcased a range of outcomes, from tight races to easy victories for incumbents. The results indicate a mix of support for both new faces and familiar names in the independent political landscape. As these elected officials take their positions, it will be interesting to see how they work together to address the needs and concerns of their constituents.
