Former USC cornerback Ceyair Wright has joined the Nebraska football team as a transfer player. Wright, who spent three seasons with the Trojans, decided to transfer after being benched during the 2023 season. As a Top 100 recruit in the 2021 class, Wright brings experience and talent to the Huskers’ defensive back room.
During his time at USC, Wright started 11 games in 2022 and played over 30 games overall, recording 40 tackles and one interception. Standing at 6-foot-2 and weighing 190 pounds, Wright will have two years of eligibility left to play for Nebraska. He will be joining other defensive backs like D’Andre Barnes, Mario Buford, and Jeremiah Charles.
In addition to his football skills, Wright is also a fourth-year junior who has pursued acting, appearing in movies like “Space Jam: A New Legacy” and the series “Grown-ish.” Nebraska fans can stay updated on Wright’s progress by following @CornhuskersWire on Twitter and Facebook for ongoing coverage of the team’s news and opinions.
