The Auto Club Group is gearing up to offer its Tow to Go program during the week of Independence Day, providing a safe ride for impaired drivers and their vehicles in states like Iowa, Nebraska, and others. This program has been running for over 25 years and has removed nearly 30,000 impaired drivers from U.S. roadways. From 6 p.m. on July 3rd to 6 a.m. on July 8th, AAA will be providing free confidential rides to AAA members and non-members.
The purpose of Tow to Go is to prevent drivers from getting behind the wheel while under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or impairing medications. The program encourages people to plan ahead for safe transportation options but provides a safety net for those who do not have a designated driver or other arrangements. The service will be available in select states including Florida, Georgia, Michigan, North Dakota, and others, with a tow truck ready to transport individuals and their vehicles to a safe location within a 10-mile radius.
The Auto Club Group, the second largest AAA club in North America, aims to protect and advance freedom of mobility and improve traffic safety. With over 13 million members across 14 U.S. states, they offer roadside assistance, insurance products, banking and financial services, and travel offerings. To access the Tow to Go service, individuals can call (855) 2-TOW-2-GO or (855) 286-9246 during the designated hours. Always choose a designated driver before celebrating and take advantage of this free, life-saving service provided by AAA.
